Jordan “Reggie Son” Johnson is a soulful artist/lyricist born and raised right here in St. Louis, MO! Most popularly known for his stage name “Shorty da Prince” his mark has been made all over the country in fields of radio, TV & music all while carrying STL in his back. He started on radio in St. Louis as the youngest on-air personality in the history of Clear Channel (IHeart Radio) at the age of 12 years old. His ability to control a crowd and captivate an audience led him to be signed to Atlantic Records at the age of 15 under St. Louis based Production Company “Trackboyz” (Known from “Tipsy” By J Kwon & “Air Force Ones” By Nelly & The Lunatics”. In 2008 Shorty made history by simultaneously having the #1 rated radio show & #1 Hip Hop Song in the city with his Culture Smash “Wah Wah Wow”.
His journey has taken him to many heights such as being a host on BET’s Flagship show 106 & Park, Co-hosting “Knock Knock Live” on FOX with Ryan Seacrest all while still dominating in radio all over in markets such as Detroit, Atlanta, and Washington DC! Although his name holds weight all over there is no place like home and like many stories, everything comes full circle. Now going by the artist name “Reggie Son” honoring his father Reggie, this young St. Louis talent has transitioned his sound to match the growth and evolution of him as a man and artist. With songs like “Find Me” & “Dance (8 Count)” he is proving that there’s no ceiling for an artist who stays true to themselves.
